Rice Canyon in the Rancho El Nido Preserve in Ojai

April is a busy month with plenty of volunteer and riding opportunities.


This Thursday 4pm - Mid-Week Trail Maintenance - New Millennium Trail, Calabasas

Mix up your work week a bit by leaving early on Thursday to get   outside, do some volunteer work, use your muscles and have a great   time. We will be removing some landslides from the trail and  doing   some much needed brush work. Some riding may follow. Visit the  CORBA Calendar for directions coming soon.


April 19 - State Trails Day - Angeles National Forest

We will be working with the US Forest Service and other groups of volunteers on the Millard Canyon Trail System. We will work on the Middle Sam Merrill Trail. After trail work there is a barbecue at the campground. Bring your bike to ride the Sunset Ridge Trail down to the BBQ. For more details, visit the CORBA Calendar


Sat. Apr. 19: Trail maintenance at Portuguese Bend Reserve (Del Cerro).

We will celebrate Earth Day a few days early by doing some trail maintenance, sponsored by REI. Details at http://www.mtbpv.org/ and the CORBA Calendar


April 20 - Club of the Month Club Ride - North Ranch Mountain Bike Club

Triunfo Canyon Trail, Thousand Oaks 9:30am.  Intermediate/advanced ride.  For more information, see the CORBA Calendar.


April 20 CORBA Recreational Ride - Mt. Wilson Toll Road to Winter Creek

April 22 - Earth Day

Earth Day is intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment.  We get inspired every time we ride. On this day - and every time you ride - leave no trace and then make a net positive impact on our parks and open spaces by picking up litter that you may encounter.


April 25-27 - Santa Monica Mountains Trails Days

This is a weekend event with CORBA, SMMTC and other trail user groups with camping at Danielson Ranch in Point Mugu State Park. You can come in Friday night and stay until Sunday or leave Saturday after trail maintenance. Some people just come in for Saturday. There will be a barbecue and raffle on Saturday evening. April 26 - CORBA Recreational Ride - Chino Hills

April 27 8:00am - Mt. Wilson Pancake Breakfast

The Annual Pancake Breakfast will be on Sunday April 27th at the Cobb Estate, Keith Bontrager and Gary Fisher will be on hand to lend to the excitement and success of the event- Stay tuned. They will also have an event on Saturday April 26th- Bike ride in the am with Keith and Gary and a BBQ that evening to get to know our guests and mingle a bit. For more info visit www.mwba.org.
